Square One opportunities
Square One is a simple mentoring programme which matches up individual youngsters with local trades people in full-time paid work experience for 6 months. It aims to offer young people a chance to build a one-to-one relationship with a mentor in the workplace and to gather on-the-job learning whilst receiving a training wage.
This programme is open to 16-25 year olds within the East and West wards of Newcastle City. Recruitment is competitive. No qualifications are needed, but a level of commitment and personal responsibility is essential to ensure the young people meet the requirements and demands of the workplace.
