Training Placements
Square One is a simple mentoring approach which matches up individual youngsters with local tradespeople in full-time paid work experience for 6 months. It is to offer young people to chance to build a one-to-one relationship with a mentor in the workplace and to gather on-the-job learning whilst receiving a training wage.
This programme is open to 16-25 year olds within the East and West wards of Newcastle City. Recruitment is competitive. No qualifications are needed, but a level of commitment and personal responsibility is, to enable young people to meet the requirements and demands of the workplace.
