“I was working part time in the Jazz cafe as a handy person when I decided I wanted a change, I then lost my job.

I had previously done an evening class at Building Futures East and enquired about construction courses and found that Building Futures East did a Building Crafts Occupation course for 22 weeks. I signed up for the course, once I had completed the course I was asked if I would be interested in becoming a tutor and said I would.

I went to Kenton college and did a PTTLS 7303 teaching course and I am now a Vocational skills Tutor at Building Futures East. I am now hoping to also do a forklift instructors course, and also my 7304 teaching qualification.”
